Preparing for Pentecost
Pentecost is this Sunday. The Easter season is drawing to a close, and with it, for many of us, the school year. There is a temptation right now to feel behind — behind on lessons, behind on plans, behind on prayer. Set that down. The disciples in the upper room were not checking things off a list. They were simply together, asking the Spirit to come. That is enough. Pray together before dinner this week. Even just once. The Holy Spirit does not arrive on our schedule. He arrives when we make room. This weekend, as the school year ends and summer begins, let your family sit in the quiet for just a moment and ask for what you need most — patience, clarity, courage, joy. He will come.

Our Lady's Mantle (Katy & West Houston)
Our Lady's Mantle is a Catholic homeschool group serving families in Katy and West Houston. Activities include First Friday devotions, park play dates, teen time, book clubs for moms and kids, nature hikes, field trips, service projects, Shakespeare festivals, art studies, liturgical year activities, and curriculum exchange.
