Corpus Christi
Last Sunday the Church processed. In parishes around the world, the Blessed Sacrament was carried out of the building and into the streets, under a canopy, with flowers and incense and singing. Corpus Christi is the feast that refuses to let the Eucharist stay hidden. If this is truly the Body of Christ — and we believe it is — then it belongs not only on the altar but in the open air, moving through our neighborhoods, blessing the ground it passes over. For homeschool families, this feast is an invitation to make the Eucharist the center of everything, not just on Sunday but in the ordinary rhythm of your week. Visit the Blessed Sacrament on a Tuesday afternoon. Pray before the tabernacle after a hard morning. Teach your children that the same Christ who feeds them at Mass is waiting for them in every Catholic church they pass. If your parish held a procession this weekend, your children saw something they will never forget. If it didn't, find one next year. There is nothing quite like watching your faith walk down the street.
