Peter and Paul

On Monday the Church celebrated two men who could not have been more different. Peter — impulsive, uneducated, a fisherman who denied Christ three times and was forgiven three times. Paul — brilliant, trained, a persecutor of Christians who was knocked off his horse and blinded by the truth. One built the Church from the inside. The other carried it to the ends of the earth. Neither one was qualified for the job on paper. That is the point. God does not call the equipped. He equips the called. For homeschooling families, Peter and Paul are a reminder that there is no single way to do this well. Some of us are Peters — we learn as we go, we stumble often, and we lead with love even when we're not sure what we're doing. Some of us are Pauls — we research, we plan, we bring intensity and conviction to everything we teach. The Church needs both. Your family needs both. The only thing that matters is that you said yes.

Parish-Based Homeschool Groups Across Houston

Some of the best Catholic homeschool communities grow right out of their parish. These groups offer families a built-in community rooted in the sacramental life of their local church — from structured co-ops to casual weekly gatherings.
